Carpenter’s Apprentice/Laborer

$20.00+ per hour

Position Description

Assists carpenter with all tasks involved in Custom woodworking including but not limited to staircases, furniture, and cabinetry. The ability to follow directions and a fine attention to detail is a must. Duties include maintaining a clean workspace, being hands on sanding, staining, cutting, assembly and all steps in-between in carpentry. This position would involve working directly at our shop in Frankfort NY.  You would be required to assist outside the shop when needed in the field. 

Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be proficient in math and have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, or have successfully completed a trade school program.

Skills Required

Must be able to read a tape measure. Experience with planers, jointers, bandsaws, scroll saws, chop saws, just collection systems is helpful but not a must. We are willing to train the right candidate and encourage motivated individuals with no experience to apply.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Safety conscious at all times.
  • Able to lift up to 100lbs.
  • Must be able to follow directions and work independently when required.
  • Requires to wear proper footwear and construction professional clothing, including a tool belt, and all required PPE.
